About Bill

"I love technology, but more importantly I love solutions."

Bill Brazeal has spent about 35 years at the place where business and technology meet, and has been early to each big shift: the internet, managed services, small-business security, and now AI.

The path here

As a Technical Architect at AT&T, Bill worked through enterprise-scale shifts from mainframes to client/server to cloud infrastructure and enterprise security.

In 1995 he co-founded Infomedia Inc., one of Alabama's first internet development companies. He then founded ezNet Solutions, which has spent about 25 years giving small and mid-sized organizations around Birmingham managed IT and cybersecurity they can trust.

He holds an MBA and the CISSP, one of the most respected credentials in information security.

Why security-first AI

Every AI tool is also a place your data can go. Small organizations rarely have a security team to ask what's safe to paste into a chatbot, which settings matter, or what an employee policy should say. Large companies do.

ZealLabs exists to close that gap: to give small businesses, nonprofits and ministries the same AI advantage the big players have, without the risk. AI levels the playing field, much as the transfer portal did for college sports. Security keeps it level.

A few "aha" moments

Bill's own AI story didn't start with a chatbot. In 2019 he built an on-device video object-recognition system: a deer deterrent. Since then the moments have come faster: AI instantly making sense of a photo of a cryptic error message, deep research and synthesis with NotebookLM, and building working software in plain English with tools like Claude Code and Replit. Helping CoLab members find their own "aha" moments is the best part of the work.
